Time just seems to fly sometimes and you aren't aware of it until something happens to point it out.
Our anniversary was Saturday and it seems like Christmas just passed. Katie has grown into a really pretty Lady and ģives us so much joy.
Today we have had quite a bit of ice and the trees are really lovely. Treacherous driving but pretty once you are back in the house. Oh! We keep losing electric too so I will keep this short so as not to waste my battery power.

About a year ago I bought this pattern that I THOUGHT was to make a vest out of a sweatshirt. WRONG. This afternoon I sit down to make my vest and I realized my error.
I promptly decide I can do this just off my head and this tacky thing is the result. I can see myself making another for my granddaughter but I doubt if it will happen for me again.
Remember the pattern? I may use it next time.
For 4 days now I have not left my house. First we had storm Cean? Now we are getting bits of Dion and personally I am loving it. As you can see I am toasty with dogs, bkankies and socks so there is no chance I will need to add sleeves to my wardrobe anytime soon.
Thanksgiving was great. The kids and I hiked Kings Bluff Falls and chilled the rest of the time before they left Sunday. I missed them before they left the driveway. Maybe 2015 will see me back in Texas where my butt belongs.
I have been busy sewing for the angel tree. I found a 3 yr old wanting a quilt so I have made 3 dresses and bought puzzles to put with it. I also found a 21 month old requesting a blue blanket so this is where counting bears quilt will go along with a few other add on. I have had so much fun doing this I can see doing this again next year as well.
I am off to make more cinnamon rolls for D H as he looses them and they make the house smell good too.
Today is the day before Thanksgiving and I am home working my bootie off to prepare. Sunday I cleaned the carpets, oiled the cabinets, chairs and tables so today I am putting the house together.
Oh, and my sewing room doubles as a guest room so it needs to be cleaned AGAIN. Seems like that is always the case with it. I have been busy sewing things for Brooklyn a 3 year old on the Christmas Angel tree. 2 dresses, a quilt finish, colors, chalk, jewelry, floor puzzle, coloring book and my mom is making a doll baby for her. She gets a nice Christmas I think. Picture later of quilt.
Deanna and her husband Clinton are coming. Yay!!! She is my youngest and a joy.

What a nice day this was, went to Indian Cave Trail in Fairfield Bay this morning and it was a really nice walk. Only a mile or so but it has everything you need, caves to explore, interesting carvings on the walls, seems DeSoto lived there ar one point even. The picture is one of the many cave openings to be found.
Katie is fitting in real nicely, Alex wouldn't eat his dinner until she came in so I guess he loves her too. DH is smitten big time!!!
Nearly done with the snowma project, been working on it really really slow.
Today was one of those rainy days when all you want to do is take a nap. My co-worker here would probably die if she knew she was here for all to see. Actually I took the picture to email our boss since we tell him all the time that we take naps all day, so this was my proof. We really were busy even though we didn't want to be.
But on another note I have started my new workout plan and I am so happy with it. Beginning to get that love hate thing going although I am not eating better yet, but one thing at a time. All over my body I have twinges of pain/pleasure.
Tomorrow is chili day at work so lots of goodied will be on the table and then Sunday another potluck since it will be the kick off for our revival. Ooh, such temptations.
Not much sewing going on, can't even say why. Some days just disappear and you aren't even sure where.
